Valentine's Day Baggies

These are the baggies that my daughter Shelby and I made for all her little school friends. Since she is in JK, we were asked to only write our child's name on it and not the other children's names because the kids can't read them yet. So Shelby had to write her name 27 times...what a workout for that little girl! But she loved it.

Look at this...

These two projects are not mine. Last week Thursday at our meeting, one of the very talented ladies showed us how to make these beautiful pieces of art work. The base of these projects are art canvases from the dollar store. Then she covered it with DSP, stamped it and embellished it. Absolutely beautiful. I went out and bought a couple of these to try. It's another way of creating with the things we love!!

Chocolate...

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Wow, it has been a crazy few weeks around here. I had this nasty cold that just exhausted me. Even after the cold was over which was Wednesday, I still needed naps and lots of sleep. I was still able to get some work done since today is Valentine's Day!!! And what better then chocolate on Valentine's Day. Now, my husband and I don't really celebrate this day other then a date. He doesn't buy me anything which I like. I don't like flowers since they die in a week or two, so I consider them a waste of money. I don't want jewelry or anything else. I do make him a card however. But this card is not the one I'm giving him.

This card is the card I made for the shoebox swap we did at my 2nd upline's meeting on Thursday night. It was a lot of fun. I got the bite mark idea from another demonstrator. Isn't it great?! What I love the most about this card is how I gathered the ribbon under the jumbo brad. Love it!!!

So here it is...
