Anniversary Card

I was asked by my sister to make an anniversary card for a couple who have been married for 65 years. That is amazing!! I love making cards for others. So I try not to turn anyone down when they ask.

Grateful...

For the month of September we focused on the Thanksgiving/Fall theme. Fall is my favourite season of the year. I love all the leaves changing colours and I love a lawn full of fallen leaves.

On this card we used the Stampin' Pastels. I have to say this was my first time using them and I love the way this image looks. Other ways of colouring your images are the Stampin' Write Markers, Watercolour Wonder Crayons, Watercolour Pencils, and Blender Pen or Aqua Painter with our ink pads. Each way of colouring gives your image a different look.

Colour Challenge #7

It has been far to long since I've posted a colour challenge and I noticed that I had skipped challenge #7. I did make a card with this colour challenge but never posted it. So I will show that card but also my new card.

Today's colour challenge is: Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron

This Happy Birthday card was made using the Bliss stamp set which is no longer available.

I made this card using one of the new Hostess sets. One thing I love about Stampin' Up! is they come up with new ways of giving us free products. If you are familiar with the hostess program we provide then you will know that it has changed. Before July 1st, we had hostess levels which if you sell a certain amount of products you could get one item from the hostess level that you achieved. Teacher & Students Gifts

What a great year it has been with Shelby going to school!! She has learned so much in the last 10 months!!! Her Daddy and I are super proud and pleased with how well she did!!

Here is the card made for Shelby's teacher! The stamp sets I used for this card are both retired but I just love both these sets and won't let them go. The are First Day and Tart & Tangy. However, the Thank You stamp is not retired and from the Curly Cute stamp set.

This little desk is so adorable!!! I found this desk on Stampin Queen's blog. I just loved these desk when I saw them, I had to make one for Shelby's teacher. This is the front view. Below are the top and drawer view. The great thing about this desk is that it was easy to make. All the drawers are filled with goodies for the teacher such as paper clips, thumbtacks, Liquid paper dry lines and chocolate.

The drawers are made using the Big Shot and the Matchbox die.  

These Sour Cream Containers are the gifts for Shelby's new friends. These are super fun, quick and easy to make. Each package had a little treat for the children to enjoy.

Sweet Treat Slider Card!!

I am in love with these Treat Cups. You can get these in the circle cups or in the heart cups. Stampin' Up! has some great stamp sets that coordinates with these cups. Check them out on pages 58 and 59 in the Idea Book & Catalogue. These cups can be found on page 170 of the same catalogue.

These cups are great for birthday cards and invitations as well as baby cards and much more.

I hope you like this card as much as I do!! First I'd like to thank Heather Summers (my 2nd upline) for the idea on this card. This is a case to one of her cards, I just changed it up some.

Here it is!

Another great thing about this card is that your children don't need to rip it apart to get their treats. When you pull the top ribbon up, you reveal a punched hole so the children can take their treats out easily and refill them too. Isn't that just GREAT!!!

Technique Tip: Using the Sanding Block, sand your card stock or DSP to give it the distressed looked. To add more distressing, take the cutter kit and scrape the card stock or DSP.
For the border punch, I punched the border out first then distressed it. After, I curled the scallops using my bone folder.

Sense of Time...

There are a few things with today's card that I just love!!! One -Riding Hood Red...Two -Sense of Time Stamp Set...Three -Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon...
I never thought I would like the Sense of Time stamp set but I bought it for a special project. I won't share now what that is so you'll have to return to find out!!

Here is my project.

Not sure if you can see it, the top left and bottom right corners have been stamped with the gears of this stamp set. I love the way it adds to the card. The sentiment has been sponged along the edge using Riding Hood Red ink then with Basic Gray. After I took my Riding Hood Red sponge and sponged the whole circle! I hope you like it.
